My First Summer Reading program caters to children aged 0 to 5, with pre-readers as the target audience. Patrons receive a brochure to sign up, complete with colored shapes and a list of ten of our summer reading books for little ones. Upon submission, children get a backpack and board book bundle, along with a ticket for a raffle.
Summer Reading Children's program targets elementary-aged children (6 to 12) but allows caregivers to enroll younger children (4-5) who can read independently. Participants receive a brochure and bookmark upon registration, and they track their progress in a binder, receiving prizes for every completed bookmark of 5 books, with a grand prize raffle upon completion of 20 books, noted by initials on the record sheet.
Check Your Shelf is our summer reading program tailored for teenagers under 18, offering various reading tasks with prizes and a grand prize opportunity. Participants receive a BINGO card and can bring it in as they complete each row/column, earning prizes and a raffle entry for each completed BINGO, which is noted and dated by staff.
Jumanji Summer Reading is a reading challenge for players ages 18 and older.
Roll the adventure die to get your reading task! You’ll be reading a book that corresponds to the number on the gameboard inside this pamphlet.
Every book you read earns you an entry into a drawing for big prizes. You will also be entered into the drawing after attending an adult program. The more books you read and programs you attend, the more chances you have to win!
You’ll have opportunities to pick up books, gift cards or coupons to local businesses, and other prizes as you play.
Upcoming Events
Family Game Night
Game Night
Come join us as we break out our collection of board games, playing cards, and dominoes and let you and your family have at them.
Our giant versions of Connect 4, Jenga, checkers, and Kerplunk offer big gaming fun you won’t find hardly anywhere else.
Game Night is a potluck affair, so attendees are encouraged (though not required) to bring food to share so that everyone can snack while they play. The library provides soda, juice, and water for all. The games are set out for you to browse, and you’re welcome to play whichever one(s) you’d like, either with your friends and family or with other game lovers from the community. Occasionally, we’ll have a themed Game Night. Such nights will be noted on the schedule.

Monthly meeting of the Library Board.
The public is welcome to attend.
The agenda for the meeting will be published three days before the session.
Explore & Play
Explore & Play
Start the morning with open-ended free play to spark your child's imagination! We provide a variety of toys -- trucks, rockets, blocks of all kinds, tactile toys, pretend foods, and more. This moment of unstructured play fosters creativity, encourages children to explore the world in their own way, and allows children to socialize with their peers. Explore & Play also offers an opportunity for the adults to engage in meaningful play with their children and form connections with other caregivers.
The doors will open at exactly 9:30 and we will begin to pick up at 10:00.
